This is a privacy policy for Tick Central. My homepage on the Web is located at http://www.tickcentral.com ,. Of course you already KNOW that or you wouldn't be reading this, now would you? The full text of my privacy policy is available on the Web at http://www.tickcentral.com/Privacy.htm .That last sentence is pretty lame but it came within the policy making utility that I used to create this privacy policy - so I guess I'm supposed to include that statement somewhere within the privacy policy...but OUCH, I mean I just told you that this very policy is available on the web at a specific web address and YOU ARE READING THAT VERY FILE NOW. Users may go to http://www.tickcentral.com/Privacy.htm for information on how to opt-in or opt-out of use of their information. Hmn, another perhaps necessary statement but also quite stupid. I simply don't collect information about visitors to the site. Even if the software or browser or web hosting company DOES, I don't. I wouldn't even know where to find the data it might find. And more importantly, don't have any need or use for any of your personal information.
I invite you to contact me if you have questions about this policy. You may contact me by mail at the following address: Old Dana Farmstead Barre, MA 01005 USA Planet Earth (while it lasts)
You may contact me by e-mail at privacy@tickcentral.com . You may not call me, I really don't like to answer the phone. Plus, if I don't recognize your phone number on the caller ID - I won't answer anyway...plus, if your number doesn't show up on caller ID, you'll go through caller intercept and end up at voice mail (maybe). Calling is a bad idea. Don't do it.
I have the following privacy seals and/or dispute resolution mechanisms. If you think I have not followed my privacy policy in some way, they can help you resolve your concern. Of course, you'll have to prove these policies exist and explain them to me first.
This policy is valid for 1 day from the time that it is loaded by a client. Or at least until you sneeze twice sideways.
P3P policies declare the data they collect in groups (also referred to as "statements"). This policy contains 1 data group and a chicken hat.
I collect the following information:
At the user's option, I may also collect the following data:
This data will be used for the following purposes:
This data will be used by me and my secret agents.
The following explanation is provided for why this data is collected:
This is the normal information logged in standard web server access logs. Contact data provided when customer affirmatively asks for more information or registers for a service WOW! This is so cool...I didn't even KNOW I collected this fantastic personal information. I wonder what I can actually DO with it? Some of this is so stupid, of course. Like this policy says I can collect the URL of the page you want to view. How incredibly mind-numbing is that? That's like saying you give me permission to recognize you when I see you. BTW, don't worry, I won't be contacting you for any reason unless you send me an email and initiate correspondence.

Cookies are a technology which can be used to provide you with tailored information from a Web site. A cookie is an element of data that a Web site can send to your browser, which may then store it on your system. You can set your browser to notify you when you receive a cookie, giving you the chance to decide whether to accept it.
Cookies are also, of course, delicious over-baked treats. They come in many different shapes, consistencies and flavors. I personally enjoy chocolate chip cookies. How about you?
Our site makes use of cookies. Cookies are used for the following purposes:
The compact policy which corresponds to this policy is:
CP= "NONDSP COR CURa CONo OUR IND PHY ONL PUR COM NAV INT DEM PRE LOC" < /FONT>
The following table explains the meaning of each field in the compact policy.
The compact policy is sent by the Web server along with the cookies it describes. For more information, see the P3P deployment guide at http://www.w3.org/TR/p3pdeployment. Oh yes, if you UNDERSTAND the above table, please seek professional help.
Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 will evaluate this policy's compact policy whenever it is used with a cookie. It will, perhaps, dunk the cookie in milk, but that depends entirely on the version number of the cookie. The actions IE will take depend on what privacy level the user has selected in their browser (Low, Medium, Medium High, or High; the default is Medium, medium-low, low medium high, high-low intermediate medium or low-low-high medium rare). In addition, IE will examine whether the cookie's policy is considered satisfactory or unsatisfactory, whether the cookie is a session cookie or a persistent cookie, and whether the cookie is used in a first-party or third-party context (along with presence of hydrogenated oils and artificial flavorings). This section will attempt to evaluate this policy's compact policy against Microsoft's stated behavior for IE6 and attempt to balance a walrus on its head at the same time.
Note: this evaluation is currently experimental and should not be considered a substitute for testing with a real Walrus.
Unsatisfactory policy: this compact policy is considered unsatisfactory according to the rules defined by Internet Explorer 6. The behavior of Internet Explorer 6 regarding cookies set under this compact policy is as follows:
In addition, the data is used in the following manner, marking the policy as unsatisfactory:
Note that allowing an opt-out will make this policy acceptable under the Low and Medium settings, and under Medium High for first-party cookie usage. At the High setting, and at the Medium High setting for third-party cookies, all of these data uses must be opt-in for the policy to be considered satisfactory.
Of course all bets are OFF at the low medium to well-done setting, the high medium while simmering setting and the intermediate brew cycle. At THOSE settings, this privacy policy self-destructs taking your precious personal information down with it. I apologize in advance and unfortunately, you can't opt out of this. It's inevitable. ALL the data on your computer will most likely dissipate back into stray electrons and occasional incidental protons. There's really nothing you can do about it, so give up now and go on vacation. I can actually help with that, by the way. Visit us: Dion Travel
